Creative Ways To Eat Avocados
One of the world's healthiest foods

Avocados are considered one of the world's healthiest foods. Here is how you can incorporate more of this superfood into your diet

There are numerous health benefits to eating avocados. The ability of avocado to help prevent unwanted inflammation is absolutely unquestionable in the world of health research. They are an excellent source of potassium (containing more per weight than bananas). In addition, avocados are rich in vitamin K, vitamin B, vitamin C, and vitamin E. An average size avocado contains about 4 grams of protein and 11 grams of fiber. They have been shown to support cardiovascular health and promote blood sugar regulation. Avocados are a true nutrition powerhouse. Incorporating them into your diet is an excellent way to improve health. That is why I eat them regularly.

Avocado works amazingly in any recipe that needs soft, creamy consistency and also make a great base for smoothies and salad dressings.

Here are a couple ways to add avocados into your diet.

When I want something chocolately and sweet this is my favorite go to recipe. You can create it in minutes, it is super nutritious and you can tweak this recipe using your own favorite flavors. Be creative and go wild!

Raw Chocolate Pudding Recipe

  • 1 large avocado

  • 2 tablespoons sweetener, I use Lakanto (super healthy, zero calories, zero glycemic index, GMO Free, kosher and ideal for weight management,)

  • 1-2 tablespoons cacao nibs or cacao powder

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

  • pinch of sea salt

  • a liquid of your choice, water, coconut milk, almond milk, etc. I use unsweetened coconut milk (the amount you add will vary depending on the size avocado you use)

Peel the avocado, chop up and place in blender or food processor with all listed ingredients, a couple tablespoons of desired liquid. Blend until you have a smooth, creamy pudding consistency with no lumps, adding a little more liquid to achieve this if necessary.

Taste and add a little more cacao powder, vanilla and or sweetener to desired taste. Vanilla enhances almost any sweet recipe, and definitely any chocolate-based one. Same is true for salt, but a pinch is all you need!

It may seem a bit strange to use avocado as the base for a dessert but it is very delicious! :)

The trick to using avocado in this way is to add just enough flavor (in this case the chocolate) so it cancels out the taste of the avocado. Avocados do not have a strong flavor so this is accomplished easily. Get this right and you can serve this chocolate pudding as an elegant dessert at dinner parties and your guests will never know. This is also the kind of thing you can whip up in two minutes any time you need a special treat.

There are endless flavorings on the market that can help you create many variations of the avocado pudding. I prefer to use alcohol free all natural flavors.

Sliced Avocados with Tomatoes

This is an excellent super easy way to eat avocado with lunch or dinner.

  • Avocado
  • Tomatoes
  • 1 Tbsp Hemp Seeds (one of natures most perfect foods)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Lemon juice to taste

Slice tomatoes and avocados, sprinkle hemp seeds for added energy and nutrition, salt, pepper and lemon juice. Be creative and add whatever you like to this simple recipe.

Green Drink

If you want to give your system a rest from heavily processed foods try making a green smoothie. I make one several times a week. They are an excellent way to feed major amounts of readily absorbable nutrients to your body instantly. I use different ingredients each time depending on what I have in my fridge, but I always use veggies with the highest nutrition content.

I personally use very little fruits in my green drinks due to their high sugar content. My system just cannot handle it. If your system accepts fruits without any problems make your green drink with the fruits you love. I always encourage the use of more vegetables over fruits.

Here are the ingredients of a green drink that I make often. No measuring necessary, I usually just grab a handful.

  • Kale
  • Spinach
  • Strawberries
  • Blueberries
  • Carrotts
  • Cucumber
  • Avocado
  • Lakanto and or stevia
  • Unsweetened black currant juice (I get this at our local grocery store, Publix.)

The sky is the limit when creating your own green drink. I encourage you to select the most nutritious and organically grown foods you can locate. It will make a huge impact on your health.

Stay Safe, Well and Happy! :)
