Extreme Health's organically grown green tea has been laboratory tested to be free of pesticides, herbicides, and heavy metals – but more importantly, each brewing provides a surprisingly refreshing drink that is rich in antioxidant polyphenols, which can provide profound cardiovascular and cellular protection promoting normal functioning.
Based on laboratory analysis, on average each 60-second brewed cup of Extreme Health green tea will yield approximately 3,000 ORAC units and 190 mg of polyphenols (antioxidants), as compared to most green tea products with no ORAC verification and generally between 30-45 mg per cup of polyphenols. Green tea is known to contain the highest concentration of health-promoting antioxidants called polyphenols.
Did you know that a cup of Green Tea may provide 10-40mg of polyphenols (a class of bioflavonoids) and has antioxidant activity greater than a serving of spinach, broccoli, carrots or strawberries? Did you know that Epigallocatechin Gallate (EGCG), a potent antioxidant, makes up about 10-50% of the total catechin content in Green Tea and appears to be the most powerful of the catechins – with antioxidant activity about 25-100 times more potent than vitamins C and E?
Did you know, there are many kinds of polyphenols but the catechin polyphenols unique to Green Tea may be the strongest, most remarkable of all? The powerful catechins in Green Tea work to:
-
Inhibit excess body fat by improved circulation.
-
Help suppress appetite and cravings.
-
Slow the aging process by inhibiting “free radical” damage to cells.
-
Aids in weight loss by burning calories.
-
Help strengthen cardiovascular and immune system health.
-
Help maintain cholesterol, blood pressure, and blood sugar, within their normal limits.
-
Stimulate the immune system

BE ADVISED!! Since Green Tea has a relatively short shelf life, it is important to obtain authentic products from reliable sources. You'll want to avoid, at all costs, Green Teas that are old, and those that are not sealed in airtight packaging with the oxygen replaced with nitrogen. Even at well known coffee chains, the "Green Tea" you find may be inferior. Trust in the Extreme Health label for quality, freshness, and potency…second to none. |
Brewing Instructions: 1 tablespoon of loose-leaf tea, steeped for about 60 seconds, will provide the anti-oxidant benefits of approximately 3,000 ORAC units per cup to help fight premature aging due to free radical damage. Steeping tea longer will yield a greater concentration of antioxidants, and conversely the taste will become more bitter.. You may re-use steeped tea leaves several times. With each subsequent use there is a 40-50% drop in ORAC, polyphenols, (anti-oxidants), and caffeine. To brew tea using a flow-through coffee maker, use 1/2 cup to yield about 20 cups or more.
