At each stage of the manufacturing process, the product is being testing and controlled. Raw materials are quarantined and tested for identity, in-process materials are tested for ingredient accuracy and formulation potency, and the final product is quarantined and tested to ensure the product is in compliance with all formulation specifications, and meets all standards for purity and potency. If any product fails to meet our specifications, the product is refused and sent back to our suppliers.

Science Chemist In order to ensure every material received is pure and unadulterated every raw material is quarantined after being received by manufacturing. The material is inspected and tested for identity. That is, we make sure the product is exactly what the product formulation requires and what the consumer expects, free of fillers and any foreign substance. Lab analysis ensures the product is of the right grade, pure, and free of bacterial contamination or other toxins. Only after the product has been tested at multiple levels, thoroughly inspected and the Quality Assurance department confirms the material conforms to established specifications is the material released from quarantine and approved for processing.

High speed tablet press Once an ingredient is approved by Quality Assurance (QA) for processing, the product goes through multiple control points throughout the production process. Extensive documentation takes place throughout the processing stage in order to verify each process was done according to the Master Manufacturing Record (MMR) and meets cGMP guidelines. Manufacturers use state-of-the-art equipment to blend and encapsulate or tablet the formulation into in-process material. Once the product has been encapsulated or tableted, the product is inspected, weighed and measured to ensure the product meets the manufacturing specifications of the formulation for potency and uniformity and the product is safe and unadulterated. If the product is found to be out of specification by QA, the batch is rejected and a material review is performed to check all control points and determine the cause of error or adulteration. QA will determine if the batch can be reprocessed to ensure quality or if the batch needs to be rejected and new production started. When the product is approved by QA, it is packaged and labeled using the same degree of control points used throughout the process to ensure the product is safe for consumption and sealed from outside contaminants. Documentation throughout this process, verified by QA, includes a MMR, production batch records, and a finished product Certificate of Analysis (C of A). The C of A verifies the finished product has met all product specifications for identity, purity, strength, composition and limits on contaminants.

Sanitation is a vital component of producing the highest quality product, which is why Doctor's Best conducts inspections of all manufacturing facilities used in producing our product. Each machine is inspected and thoroughly sanitized with cleaning agents approved for food grade and backed by Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS). After each batch passes through a machine, the machine is inspected, sanitized and protected from any possible contamination in order to ensure the equipment is safe and sanitary for the next batch.

Laboratories use scientifically validated testing methods and verify the appropriateness of each test being performed. Laboratory testing of Doctor's Best products utilizes methods established by organizations such as USP and AOAC, when available, and includes the use of sensitive analytical equipment such as High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy (AA), and Thermo Scientific Antaris™ II FT-NIR analyzers. Our extensive testing process verifies identity of raw materials, guarantees potency of the product, and confirms purity of all components along with ensuring compliance with all limits for microbes, heavy metals and contaminants.
